Senior Writing Showcase

For the last 10+ years, the Senior Lifestyle Expo has reached out to those talented older adults who prefer the backstage instead of the "spotlight". The Senior Writing Showcase always has a question to go along with the theme of the show. Every year, without fail, we receive submissions that take you back in time and tell stories of those around you. When the Expo was forced to go virtual in 2020, it only seemed natural to phrase the question in regards to "Navigating Aging". Our first three Submissions have done just that! Bravo to Rod Marino, Mattie Ann Pitts, & Bill McNulty for sharing their stories. What would you say if asked the question.." Looking back, what was the biggest challenge you had to navigate through? How did you come through that time and did it change the course of your life?" Enjoy the stories and poems that have been submitted over the years.
